Home/Our Store
Al Watan is a family-owned grocery on Market Street, opened for Kirkland's Middle Eastern, Persian, Pakistani, Indian, and African communities.
A daytime shot of the Al Watan sign and entrance on Market Street — the single most useful photo for people trying to spot the store from the sidewalk.
Kirkland's Middle Eastern, Persian, Pakistani, Indian, and African communities didn't have a single store that carried halal meat alongside the pantry staples each of those kitchens actually uses. Al Watan opened on Market Street to be that store — one counter, one set of aisles, no compromises on either.
We're family-owned and run by people who cook with what's on these shelves at home. If a customer asks for a brand or cut we don't carry, that's the fastest way it ends up in stock.
Every cut at the counter is hand-slaughtered under zabiha halal practice and never stored with non-halal items.
Shan, National Foods, Haldiram's, Sadaf, and dozens of smaller imports that rotate with the season.
On Market Street with free parking, open seven days a week — a real grocery run, not a special trip.
Kirkland is home, and we're a short drive from the rest of the Eastside.
That's the standard behind every cut of meat and every product we carry.
